One Week and Counting

At first I had this almost imperceptible tinge of hesitation over the editor's choice to keep the right margin unaligned - not enough to bring it up, mind you, but it was there - but now that I see what it will look like in print, I really do like the look of it. In fact, the only change I had to request at all was that of the font size, to something slightly bigger, so that eyes over thirty-five can read just as comfortably as those under. Pictured above is what will very likely be the final layout.

Do you suppose anyone will have any interest in signed copies?

The right side unaligned makes it look like it was typed on a real typewriter. :-)

What is this? More importantly, when is this?

Well, that a lovely *tiny* bit of information. ha! Does the novel have a name? Did you author it? If not, have you reviewed it? General story line ... ?

It's a long story. I wrote it one night four years ago and it wasn't that good. I've been fixing it for about the past six months. It's better now.

Well, since late July. Not quite six months then.

Wow - from one night of writing 4 years ago fleshed out into a full length novel in six months? Plus you've been working on Isle, so very cool.

Ok, I haven't purchased the book yet for my youngest child (each child gets a book at the Holiday every year) ~ he is 16. Would this be a good one for him? Be honest, as I will buy a copy regardless. :P~

"This novel is specifically designed to be read by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17. This novel contains violence, explicit sexual activity, and crude indecent language. Younger readers are strongly cautioned to keep this novel well-hidden from their parents."

What do they encourage teenagers to read in school these days? Is it still the American classics? This book is no worse than anything Hemingway or Steinbeck might have written. It's just more juvenile.

HAHAHAHA! You know that first paragragh makes me want to buy it for him.

Well, he read some Hemmingway (or had the option with a short story?) and Steinbeck he read "Of Mice and Men" which seemed pretty twisted. What is the title? Or, is that a secret until the release?

They call it "Hellbound Snowballs"

Look for an official announcement in about 6 days.

That's the mediocre four years ago draft. It wasn't very good.

LOL

It was quite intriguing, twisted enough, so yippee! A book - a signed one at that for the 16 y/o on the Holiday!

Excellent, excellent to have you so graciously assist with my holiday shopping. Six days puts us at the 11th (it will be released on time or close to on time I am guessing) so it should arrive on or about the 21st.

W00t! :-D

You might not want to bet on a signed copy arriving by Christmas. Sadly, there have been some production delays what give us "within a few days of Christmas" as the most optimistic arrival time.

Ahhh ... damn. I'll get him a different book for the stocking then and he can get yours when it is available. It's not like more than one book is a bad thing. :-)

If you try to sound cool you fail. You have to just be.
